Thursday, April 23, 2009. There has been a lot in the news lately about problems associated with Chinese drywall in homes constructed since 2004. Drywall is commonly made from gypsum which comes from fly ash that collects inside industrial smoke stacks. This ash is then scrubbed of contaminants prior to being sold for drywall production.
